The full moon is missed.

O God, Light of Lights, Secret of the Hidden Secret, and Dawn of Mercy and Joy, You who, when the nights grow dark, light the lamps of the soul, and when the moon disappears, the moons of the hearts shine, and when the lights of the world are extinguished, Your light remains, which never disappears nor vanishes.

My God, we are children of a night whose hours have grown long, and our souls yearn for a dawn when its clouds will dissipate. We know that darkness is but the sanctuary of longing, and that the absence of the moon is a call to those who hear, a door to those who knock, and a key to those who seek and obey.

O God, the loss of the full moon is a hidden gift and a clear blessing, teaching us that loss breeds longing, longing ripens love, and love opens the gates of light.

Thank you, O Illuminator of the heavens, for a night that cultivates patience within us, an absence that teaches us the meaning of contentment, and a silence that sprouts a thousand calls to you in our depths.

O You who love goodness and protect the perplexed, remove from us the garments of shadows, and clothe us in robes of light, and carry us on the wings of Your breezes until we soar in the sky of love and giving, so that we become full moons that dispel the darkness, and suns that melt the flocks of shadows.

O God, show us the light that never fades, and teach us that the full moon we lose in the sky, we find in the horizon of the soul. And reveal to us that whoever seeks You in the absence of light will find in the silence of the night suns that never set and full moons that never disappear.

O Lord, make the absence of the moon a key to closeness, the length of the night a ladder to love, and every tear that falls to the earth a seed of light that sprouts plains of peace in our hearts.

O God, make us small moons, shining in the darkness of the world, planting love in the earth, and watering mercy in hearts, until every heart becomes a sky, every soul a moon, and every life a dawn.

O God, let us taste the sweetness of contentment in the absence of the moon, and the sweetness of submission in the length of the night, and grant us the courage of love that endures in the darkness, and a faith that illuminates our paths to Your mercy.

O God, make every dark night a sanctuary for humility, every absence of the moon a lesson for standing before You, and every longing glance a door that opens onto the sky of Your light.

O Light of the heavens and the earth, let us see You in darkness before light, in absence before presence, and in silence before words.

O God, if the eyes lose the moon of the sky, do not let our hearts lose the moon of the soul. And if the lights of the earth are extinguished, shine upon us with Your eternal light. And if names close their doors, open for us Your door that never closes.
