Al-Zuhairi pointed out that field studies and documented figures from several non-governmental organizations confirm the existence of a large number of buildings that do not meet public safety requirements, especially in densely populated areas, which poses a direct threat to lives and property.
Read MoreAl-Zuhairi stressed that “the Tripoli Municipality, through its Engineering Department, must act urgently to evacuate the threatened building, as well as the buildings adjacent to it, under the supervision of specialized engineers, and in coordination with the Civil Defense and the Higher Relief Commission teams, especially if these buildings are inhabited. Clear warnings should also be issued to the residents of the area not to gather around the site of danger or damage, in order to ensure their safety and public safety.”
